Before service begins, prepare the following items:
- Communion elements – the bread and juice represents Jesus’ body and blood.
- A candle – this signifies Jesus’ life with us.
- Your Bible.
- A journal or piece of paper and a pen for each person in the room.
If you are with others, gather in the same room, be still, and light the candle. Set out communion, but wait to partake until you are prompted by Pastor Wayne or Pastor Aaron later in the service.
Live Stream Chat
When the live stream begins, we encourage you to join the chat room on Facebook or YouTube and say hello to one another as a form of greeting!
A sacred part of our worship is Generosity, and it is especially important now to care for our church family and community in the midst of crisis! As you prepare for service, click the button below to give online.
During our online service, you’ll be invited to participate in these ways:
Close your eyes together and spend some time in silence. Wait for your body and mind to be present.
Give thanks to Jesus for His presence with us and spend time praying out loud for one another, the church body, and our city.
We will read the following passage aloud during our live stream:
Isaiah 40:3–9 (ESV)
3 A voice cries: In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” The Word of God Stands Forever
6 A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
7 The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. The Greatness of God
9 Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, ”Behold your God!”
